About Us
Magnolia Christian Academy exists to collaborate with parents to prepare students to meet the demands of leadership in the 21st century. We desire to provide an education that produces highly literate leaders who use their knowledge and skills to help others and are equipped to both adapt in a highly changing world while holding fast to the timeless truths of God's Word.
The Location
MCA holds classes at Grace Christian Family Center in Tomball, Texas.
The Administration
Holly Ray - Director
Holly has ten years of experience in education as both a teacher and administrator. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology with a Secondary Education Certification from Houston Baptist University and a Master's degree in Educational Administration with a Principal Certification from Stephen F. Austin University. She is married to Steve, and they have two boys, Austin and Tyler. She and her family are actively involved in a local church where her husband serves as the Associate Pastor of Worship and Discipleship.
The Parents
Magnolia Christian Academy was started by a group of home school parents who desired to cultivate godly, college-worthy leaders who would impact future generations for Christ. MCA recognizes and fully supports the biblical mandates given to parents to "train, teach, impress, and instruct" their children spiritually, socially and educationally (Deuteronomy 6; Proverbs 22:6).
Instead, MCA seeks to collaborate with parents to prepare students to meet the demands of leadership in the 21st century. We desire to provide an education that produces highly literate leaders who use their knowledge and skills to help others and are equipped to both adapt in a highly changing world while holding fast to the timeless truths of God's Word.
The Foundation
In order to fulfill the mission of Magnolia Christian Academy, MCA gives priority to three fundamental principles:
• Growing in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Psalm 1, Isaiah 33:6, Philippians 1:9-10, Philippians 3:8-10, I Peter 3:18)
• Partnering with parents to educate and disciple leaders who will impact future generations for Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, Proverbs 22:6)
• Leading others through serving (Mark 10:43-45, John 13:14, Philippians 2:3-7)
The Classes
Magnolia Christian Academy seeks to offer home school families high-quality academic classes taught from a Christian worldview. Beginning with our pre-k class all the way through high school, MCA has carefully chosen teachers, classes, and curriculum that will help produce godly, college-worthy leaders.
Although Magnolia Christian Academy is not a replacement for parental instruction, MCA does offer "replacement" classes--meaning that classes taken at MCA are all-inclusive. MCA provides the instruction, curriculum, and evaluation of a student's performance for the class(es) taken. At this time, MCA does not provide transcripts for high school students. However, progress reports and report cards are given for all subject areas.
The Requirements
MCA is a Christian school; therefore, agreement with our Statement of Faith is necessary for enrollment. MCA is built on the tenets set forth in our Statement of Faith; therefore, families must consider carefully their doctrinal beliefs before enrolling in MCA.
Magnolia Christian Academy also encourages active membership in a local church--not because we believe that "membership" equals "salvation" but simply because God created Christians to function within the local church--not as "Lone Rangers" outside of it.
The Invitation
Magnolia Christian Academy invites you to schedule an appointment, send us an email, or give us a call if you are interested in finding out more about our classes. We look forward to hearing from you!
